High Plains Drifter – 3 stars (good)
"High Plains Drifter" was one of the best films of Clint Eastwood-Western-loved, and also the first film he directed and led. His role as The Man with No Name "in his introduction to the three now famous spaghetti westerns that progress continues," For a Fistful of Dollars, "" For a few dollars more and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
Published in 1973, High Plains Drifter is a stranger (Clint Eastwood), along the lake;the mining town murder greedy, whose prominent businessmen conspire when she discovered her income sheriff his mine happens to threaten the country and the government will be exposed.
The lawman Marshal Jim Duncan (Buddy Van Horn), killed by three gunmen, Stacey Bridges (Geoffrey Lewis), Bill Borders (Scott Walker) and Cole Carlin (Anthony James) lashes. Nobody lifts a finger to help Marshal Duncan, and is buried in an unmarked grave.
The threeMurderers have one and is about to be released from prison. They point to a return to the lagoon and extract revenge on the inhabitants. The knowledge that they will return one day, the city hire three corrupt leaders of other hard to defend when he returned the murderer.
Unfortunately, they have a little problem. The three tough guys decide Bully The Man With No Name shortly after he arrives in town and orders a drink at the local watering hole. The nameless man soon discovers that it's an honest man fighting in the lake, including replacing corrupt sheriff Sam Shaw (Walter Barnes). Question, the incompetent, to teach defense, but the task is boring and useless. He has allBuildings in the town painted red to trouble the unwanted visitors. The stranger left the city and people are left to fend for themselves.
Bridges take, borders and Carlin unit in the city and the killing on the road and remember to put all their lives are at stake. Then there was the man returns with No Name and what happened then why should see High Plains Drifter.
This is a violent film. At one point initially mock the city and the wife of owner mining,Callie Travers (Mariana Hill), manages to draw the stranger in his thorn in the barn of a sexual encounter. conspire Elsewhere, before the arrival of the murderer in return, a pair of businessmen unlucky travelers with little success, as the stranger goes beyond the hotel to kill and kill four of them in the road. A further meeting is man without beds behalf of the hotel owner's wife Sarah Belding (Verna Bloom).
Despite the killing and the indiscretions of manNo name, he is "sympathetic" good guy in the movie because he will avenge the death of Marshal Jim Duncan. The stranger happens to be the only man in history with bullets and combat power to their macho image.
No one plays as the legendary Clint Eastwood Macho. No love her and that brought not only has a name, the marker is installed and solve problems that nobody else can.
High Plains Drifter, like many of Eastwood's early films, I haveThe recognition of the film industry. I like Clint Eastwood as an actor and director, and it shows. I would like this film an excellent rating, but can not be due to a failure for the first time director-the man without a name adopted by a majority of viewers, the stranger, brother or relative to go to the lake must be a revenge.
In fact the director Clint Eastwood's The Man With No Name Marshal Jim Duncan, a misplaced attempt to make much sense surreal, viewers are taken. AlsoThe reviewers of the world continue to go well again, not abroad as Marshal Duncan.
In a later interview on "Inside the Actor's Studio" in 1994-21 years Eastwood made it clear that he favors less explicit interpretation and the supernatural. Fortunately, Eastwood found this idea in the latest movies in which both stars and director, and will continue working to win 5 Academy Awards, and 6 other Oscar nominations for her.
